I spent 11-22 August of this year in Greenland, working in streams and rivers draining the Greenland Ice Sheet (above). Our base was Kangerluusuaq, a view of which is shown in the photo below. I managed to find time for some birding, mainly looking for gulls but also taking an interest in the Redpolls.

The town dump has lots of white-winged gulls: here a mixture of Glaucous and Iceland.
